Kate and Brad are getting married in a few short months (I’m jumping up and down with excitement!) and I’m thrilled their engagement session was featured on Polka Dot Bride .  Polka Dot Bride is Australia’s premier wedding blog – a blog full of fabulous wedding inspiration and ideas.  If you’re planning your wedding day you will LOVE this blog.

I’m so excited for the year ahead – so many fabulous weddings in Australia, Italy, Byron Bay, Fiji and Hawaii. I’m busting with happiness and i can’t wait for the wedding season to start! Beata English Photography is also going to be featured in a couple of wonderful wedding publications – I will share soon.

Last Sunday I spent the morning photographing my friend and local children’s author Ingrid Jonach, who needed to update her head shots.  We took a lot of the shots in the second hand bookstore at the Curtin Shopping Centre – which we both thought was very fitting!

Ingrid has just had a new book deal announced with global publisher Strange Chemistry, which is based in the UK.  Her young adult novel, When the World was Flat (and we were in love), the novel – a love story that spans parallel dimensions, will be published in the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia in August 2013.

Ingrid’s children’s books – The Frank Frankie and Frankie goes to France - have both been published by Pan Macmillan Australia.

Like her Facebook page at Ingrid Jonach (Author), follow her on Twitter and check out her blog here - Ingrid’s going to be famous!

This was one of those photo shoots where I walked away so happy to be doing what I do (hmm…hang on…i feel that way after all of them!) :)

I had an absolute blast with Carly and Matt…I’ve been looking forward to their engagement session for the last couple of weeks! When Carly told me she and Matt wanted to have an engagement session with their horses I started jumping up and down, and i may have even squealed a little bit on the inside.  I have to admit I have always been a little scared of horses, but not these horses…they were so gentle and friendly and a little bit cheeky…I couldn’t stop snapping away.

Carly and Matt had me in stitches from laughing so much – I can’t wait for their wedding next year!
