There is so much I want to say about Sophie and Andrew.  When I first met them I knew their wedding would be awesome. I’ve been looking forward to shooting their wedding all year. When they chose me to photograph their wedding I’ll admit to doing a little dance on the inside, okay maybe i actually danced on the outside too.  I loved spending time with them..WOW!!  What a fabulous day. Lots of smiles, laughter, fun and definitely a lot of love.  The perfect day with so many little surprises – wait till you see their {Night} blog post – coming soon.

The day started with Sophie getting ready with Sybilla her beautiful sister and bridesmaid at The Hotel Realm, which has become quite a popular spot for brides getting ready.  Look at her dress and those red shoes…i squealed out loud when i first laid eyes on them.  Andrew chose The Diamant Hotel, another wonderful choice to get ready with his best mate and best man, Goldie.  For the location photos they organised a picnic lunch, with the yummiest rolls and deserts catered by the folks from Idelic Cafe in Kingston.

Sophie and Andrew are loved not only by each other, but by everyone around them. And when you get to know them, you realise why.  Sophie and Andrew are two lovely and talented people who treasure their friends and family as well as each other. It was such a pleasure to be the photographer at their wedding and to witness this wonderful and heartfelt celebration.  Sophie and Andrew are obviously surrounded by friends and family who love them very much, which really came through judging by all the tears of joy, the smiles, laughter and hugs.

Thank you Sophie and Andrew for letting me capture your special day, for your friendship and for being so fabulous.  I hope you’re both having an amazing time in Thailand.

A big shout out to my wonderful second photographer and special friend – Cassie! Thank you!

Caitlin and David met over a Pink Cosmopolitan cocktail….and the rest, they say is history).   They are both sweet, funny, generous, thoughtful and totally in love.  I loved spending the day with them…they are both so much fun to be around..their gentle tenderness for each other, their light hearted banter and how easily they make each other laugh. They put so much thought into making their day special and personal with beautiful & fun details… Stunning flowers, killer heels, Caitlin’s stunning dress, a gorgeous and very yummy cake, and a fabulous candy bar.

The day started with a thick fog, and I must admit I prayed it would lift before their morning ceremony. But just as Caitlin left her mother’s home the fog started to lift and the sun came out – it had become the perfect day.  Their gorgeous ceremony was held at St John’s Church in Reid and then their lunch-time reception was at The Boat House by the lake.

I’m so grateful that they both chose me to photograph their beautiful day!   Thank you Caitlin and David – I hope you’re both having an amazing honeymoon.

A big thank you also to Cassie Melville for being my amazing second shooter and side kick!
